Fruit can be eaten raw or cooked.

Bark dried and powdered as a treatment for burns.

Other Uses:

Qá:thelhp is a very hard wood - called "ironwood."

Used for qá:thexw (fish spear prongs), salmon barbecue sticks, arrow shafts, needles for bulrush mats, and knitting needles.
