Food and Medicinal Uses:

The inner bark of telémelhp is used for diarrhea medicine.

Telémelhp is also used to treat coughs, colds, sore throat, and pneumonia.

 

Other Uses:

The outer bark is waterproof and resistant to decay, and was used to bind joints of underwater implements, such as harpoons, dipnets, and fish spears.

The bark is also used for decorating woven baskets.
