Food and Medicinal Uses:

Qwíqwelh (berries) are sour and were usually not consumed, but were sometimes mixed with blueberries.

Berries were used to treat lice and dandruff.

Also treats colds, sore throats, tonsillitis, headaches, rheumatism, indigestion, and ulcers.

Poultices are used for sores and boils.

CAUTION: Berries contain cyanide-related compounds.
